A Bit of Backstory
Over 20 years ago, during my forestry degree, I had the chance to join a university lumberjack team. While I didn’t continue in timber sports after graduating, a few of my teammates did—one of them even becoming the “Don Cherry” or “Ron MacLean” of the timber sports and axe throwing world. He also happened to be my university roommate… and the MC at my wedding.
After years of nudging, he finally convinced us to set up axe throwing at the distillery—and I’ve gotta say, it’s a blast. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the moment that axe sticks to the target.
